Recent Conversations and Other Tidbits

So the talker of the family (Micayla) has recently left us in stitches over some of the things she says to us (or others).

Coming home from work one evening, I slipped into her room to check on her. She wasn't asleep yet, so when she saw me, she said (in a very cute voice) Mommmeeeeee (she likes to hold out the "e" sound). I said, "yes," and was thinking she's going to tell me "la u" (which is love you). She reaches out her hand and says "hi fi" (for high five.)
----------------------------
She's putting together words all the time--so when she saw that Tucker (the dog) got in trouble, she said "Tucker, trouble." Later when I reprimanded her for throwing her cup on the floor she said "Mica trouble." (Yes, she calls herself Mica--sounds like Me-ka.) On a side note, what is it about kids throwing their cups when they are done with them? I don't know how many times she's been "reminded" that it isn't okay and yet, continues to do it at each meal.
----------------------------
Anytime she hears a mower outside, she says "Daddy, mow" even though he might not be home to do so. She often greets Hudson with "Daddy, weedeleedeleedeleat" when he comes home (that's how she says "weedeat.")
---------------------------
She figured out that Daddy's name is Hudson, and often calls him "Daddy Hudson"...which really sounds like "Daddy ahsun." Hudson tried to teach her LeAnn, and she'll say "Mommy Llllllelllllannnn" and she moves her lips really fast when trying to say my name.
--------------------------
We do everything with her baby doll (interchangeably named Baby or Flower) now--if Micayla eats, then Baby/Flower has to watch Micayla eat. Micayla now refers to herself in the third person, so she says to Baby/Flower, "Mica, eat!" or "Mica, milk!"...and then offers whatever she has to Baby/Flower as well. Baby/Flower can also clap her hands just like Micayla, and can sit on the couch with her, but hasn't figured out how to hold things for Micayla. Sometimes she tells Baby/Flower that "Mica mad" but I have yet to figure out what she's mad about. She doesn't understand that Baby/Flower can't take a bath with her, or go swimming with her, but Baby/Flower does go night-night with her.
-------------------------
Micayla loves to swim---she'll say "Swimmmmmmininininin" to us when she wants to go (usually at night when Daddy's home)...and then will go wait by the gate downstairs so that we can go upstairs for her bathing suit. She pronounces most things with the emphasis on the second word of whatever she is saying, so "bathing suit" really sounds like "bathe-in SUIT!"
-------------------------
We've been praying now before nap and bedtime for a while, but I just started asking her last week what she would like to pray for. She'll usually say her friend's names (Nate, AJ, Beckett, Miss Myrna (her teacher at preschool)), then Daddy, then either Uncle Justin or Uncle Emery or Memaw/Papaw, or Granddaddy/Miss Glenda. Lately though, she's started saying "sistr/brodr" for what she wants to pray for....melted me the first time she did it, now I just love to hear it. So we're praying that a sister or brother would come along for Micayla and that Micayla's heart would be open towards welcoming a new one in our home. Often if we are in the car, she'll not quite yell, but louder than talking, say "Pray, sistr/brodr"...so we're making our request known to Him about that. :)
